DELIVERY POLICIES

Moxie Floral Design Studio is dedicated to delivering your floral and gift orders in a timely manner. The actual time and date your order is delivered is affected by the time of day your order is placed, the method of delivery you select (local or wire out), weather conditions, and whether or not the destination is a remote location. Our delivery policies explain the delivery options available to you and how we process orders.
 
Local Delivery- We hand deliver to all of Wilmington and the surrounding communities.  This includes the city of Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Pleasure Island, Leland, Figure Eight Island, Hampstead and Castle Hayne.
 
Delivery Fees-  *All delivery fees are subject to change at seasonal, peak delivery events (ie: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day)
Delivery to Historic Downtown Wilmington: free
Delivery to New Hanover County (outside the city), Wrightsville Beach and Castle Hayne:     $9.99
 
Wire Out (out of town delivery) fees- $12.99 wire fee (to send your order to a reputable, local florist) plus a $9.99 delivery fee

Delivery Status-  Please consider your order delivered on the day you requested if you receive a confirmation. If we have any difficulties with your order, we will contact you by telephone and/or e-mail.

Incorrect Address/Re-Delivery-  Changes to address information or incorrect addresses after the order has been placed resulting in a re-delivery will be subject to a $10.00 charge.

Floral Deliveries to the U.S. and Canada-  * Note all transactions are in US currency. In the U.S. and Canada, same-day delivery is generally available Monday through Saturday on orders received before 2:00 PM in the recipient's time zone (excluding holidays and peak floral delivery periods). Exceptions may occur. Orders received after 2:00 PM in the recipient's time zone may be delivered the next delivery day. There are no deliveries on Sundays and legal holidays. Please make sure that your order information is accurate and complete in order to avoid delivery delays.

Floral Order Delivery Times-  Most florist shops make deliveries during normal business hours (9 AM to 5 PM). However, since our daily routine may vary and we do not know each florist's delivery schedule for a particular day, we will be unable to guarantee delivery requests for a specific time or within an hourly range unless verbally agreed. Requests may be taken for either an AM or PM delivery with a verbal confirmation, but they cannot be guaranteed without an additional $5.00 fee required for special delivery.

When the Recipient Is Not Home-  The florist may leave the arrangement in a protected place at the delivery address per the explicit instruction of the sender.  The florist may leave a note on the recipient's door asking the recipient to call the florist's shop and arrange a convenient time for re-delivery. The florist may choose to leave the arrangement with a neighbor and attach a note to the recipient's door stating who accepted the arrangement on their behalf. Another option is calling the recipient first to arrange a delivery time. If the recipient is at work all day, we suggest sending the arrangement to the workplace.

International Floral Deliveries-  Due to the various time zones between the U.S. and other continents, same day delivery is not available. We can only guarantee delivery dates for orders received three business days in advance. You must call us to place an international delivery order; you cannot do so online.

Cancellation Policy-  While we process your request the moment we receive it, it is sometimes very difficult to get cancellation requests complete. Our local florist network ranges throughout the country and because of the importance placed on a timely delivery of your request and various time zones, it can sometimes be very difficult to stop or cancel a delivery attempt or a placed order. Cancellations must be done within 2 hours of placing your order. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of a minimum $10.00 per order for any order canceled after this period of time.

Substitution Policy-  Due to various seasonal and regional conditions, availability of some flowers may be very limited in certain areas. Also, specific flower varieties or colors may not be available for delivery on a specified day. Therefore, it is possible that the exact bouquet pictured or requested may not be available for delivery.
In this event, the local florist will deliver a second choice of similar flowers and container of equal value and beauty. Every effort will be made to maintain size, shape, and overall color schemes of an arrangement, but there may be some variance due to designer interpretation. In single variety arrangements, variety will take preference over color.

Hand Delivery-  Hand delivery is the actual handling and delivery of your floral arrangement by a local florist who will personally deliver your gift to the recipient's door.
Today, many companies try to compete for "lowest price" and send flowers in a box overnight only to have them left at the door for the recipient to open and assemble (actually try to arrange them in the vase themselves in hopes of looking like the picture you purchased from!).
